Hotel Management Courses: Opportunities Exist

HR training helps in increasing motivation and samely involvement amongst the employees.



Hospitality sector is growing at a stupendous rate of approximately 8% in India. This sector can be classified into hotel industry, travel and tourism, restaurants, clubs and bar and contract catering. Other than these, opportunities also exist in various exhibition centers and smaller events management companies.

The major challenge of this sector is shortage of skilled employees along with the challenge of attrition rate. Skilled chefs and hotel managers are now greatly in demand. Managers require huge range of competencies such as, people management, competent skills, business insights, analytical skills, succession planning and resource development in order to get success in this sector. In addition to that, employees are not enough trained on Business Tactics, Courtesy and Communication skills. Hospitality Management is all about handling people and handling them in every best possible manner. So, an employee there must have right attitude, tolerance and listening skills in order to function the hierarchy in a correct manner. There is still a long way to go to inculcate good public relations, interpersonal skills and managerial capabilities.

With the increase in competition due to the coming up of major players the need to train employees functionally has increased more than before. The major players are now strategizing to increase the turnover of the customers by training their employees on Communication, Dining and Business Management Operations.
